Synopsis:
A 5-year-old girl embarks on a camping trip with her dad, but when the trip takes a turn for the worse she must realize that true courage is finding home wherever you are. Director's Statement: "Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?" Henry David Thoreau said. This miracle happens when I watch a powerful film, documentary, or even a commercial. This was my goal with “Camping Trip” — to let the audience, for a few minutes, explore the world through the eyes of this young girl. This is really a story about growing up— about being let down for the first time by those you trust, about coming to terms with the unexpected twists and turns of life, and about finding the courage to see the light in all the darkness." -- Audrey Larson Written, Produced & Directed by: Audrey Larson Starring: Colbi Gannett, Matthew Phillion Recognition: National Gold Medal, Film & Animation Scholastic Art & Writing Awards 2016 Regional Gold Key, Film & Animation Regional Honorable Mention, Dramatic Script Scholastic Art & Writing Awards (MA region) 1st Place, Drama: Hockomock Film Festival (Easton, MA) 2016 Emergencia Youth Film Audience Award: Cine Las Americas International Film Festival 2016 Official Selection: Newport Beach Film Festival 2016 National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY) 2016 Arizona International Film Festival 2016 CineYouth Festival, Chicago International Film Festival 2016 Sun & Sand Festival 2016 Dances with Films 2016 Marblehead Festival of Arts Short Film Festival 2016 Rhode Island International Film Festival 2016 San Diego International Kids Film Festival 2016 Saratoga Springs International Film Festival 2016 All-American High School Film Festival 2016 Heartland Film Festival 2016 CAMPING TRIP ON IMDB |
